Through the Ashes is a constant roller coaster of twists, turns and emotions of the characters. I was thrilled to see Bria almost break out of her timid shell and show the brave, strong-willed young lady that she truly is deep down. Bria is placed in multiple situations where she could cower and turn back to the person she was trying to escape /5(56).

I quite liked Angela's Ashes in book, audiobook (read by the author) and film form. The sequel 'Tis () was not quite as entertaining, but Teacher Man () was the disappointing rambling of someone I could no longer empathize with.

This is going to be rambling. So please bear with me. This Winter I plan to do a series of articles for The Escapist on Ashes of the Singularity.
